A little about me

After attaining a BA (hons) in Performing Arts from Middlesex University, I headed off to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to train as an actor.  Moving into actor’s headshots was a very organic process for me. I had always been a keen photographer and shortly after leaving the Old Vic I started getting serious about turning professional.  My actor friends started coming to me for their publicity shots and the word spread.  Within a year I was making my living as a professional photographer and I have never looked back.  That snowball effect has continued and most of my work comes from word of mouth, either through the actors themselves talking about their experience of coming to me and showing off their new shots, or through agents recommending me to their clients.

I still work as an actor and it is this inside knowledge of life on both sides the industry that informs my work as a photographer. My working relationship with Spotlight as well as numerous Agents and Casting Directors gives me specific insight into what is looked for in a Headshot.
